MARA, THE DEMON RAPTOR
Mara serves as both my fursona and brand mascot, they are a character very near and dear to my heart.
Somewhere between a kobold and an imp, I choose to just refer to them as a “Demon Raptor”. because of the hellish horns, pointed ears, and pink scales paired with the reptilian and velociraptor inspired features.
Mara was designed in 2018, and as of 2021 has been realized as a partial fursuit created by HeckGeck.
NIKKI, THE LEOPARD SHARK
Nikki was originally designed as a ‘true sona’ all the way back in my highschool days. Their design was born from my love of sharks, and in particular leopard sharks– a species of houndshark that inspired Nikki’s color palette and boxy spot pattern.
Nikki was originally designed in 2016, and received a minor redesign in 2021.
LILITH, THE MONSTER HYENA
Much like Mara, Lilith takes inspiration from Japanese Yōkai in the design of her powers. Deriving her brute strength and signature weapon from the legends of Oni– demons or ogres typically depicted as having horns and carrying kanabō clubs.
Lilith was designed in 2019.
THE PRYDRAS
Prydras started out as a silly doodle of a two-headed hydra I called ‘The Bi-dra’, and have since evolved into a colorful cast of multiheaded mythical lizards representing a bunch of different LGBTQA+ identities. These funky little dudes mostly exist as merch in the form of enamel pins and stickers, but I consider them my characters all the same!
I put a lot of thought into each design and would love to do more with the concept, as well as eventually adding even more flags/identities to the crew.
The original Prydras were designed in 2019, and were redesigned to their current look in 2020.
